The central bulge of our milky way is plunging into the adriatic sea. The croatian island of Lastovo offers an almost natural dark sky. However, even in about 200 km distance the orange glow of light pollution from Italy can be seen. Such a dark sky enables the photography of the airglow, here seen as slowly moving green patterns in the sky.
