fuel dump of a chinese rocket
© copyright: the sky in motion.com A chinese rocket "Long March 8A" dumped fuel after releasing its satellite payload. The fuel appeared as a bright streak racing from the western sky through the zenith in Germany on August 25th, 2025. It lasted about 20 minutes and finally disappeared above the eastern horizon (in the shadow of the earth). In the top of the first frame you can see two thin streaks in the same direction of the more extended fuel band, probably parts of the rocket or the satellite itself. Sunlight is scatterd by solid fuel crystals and the satellites in their orbit a few hundred kilometers high. |
