Sometimes bright meteors leave luminous trails in the upper atmosphere that may last a few minutes. Such a persistent train was imaged above. The photographic appearance lasted about 3 min. Strong winds in the upper atmosphere torn the train apart due to different wind speeds and directions at different heights. |
